Our clay story began at Christmas 2021 with our family’s tradition of exchanging Christmas Verbs—actions we live together instead of gifts we unwrap. That year’s verb led us to the pottery wheel. Our first pieces were wobbly and imperfect, while holding the amazing joy of creating. From that spark, PotterMouth was born.
Pottery quickly taught us that clay remembers every touch. Each wobble, each steadying hand, each pause became part of the story. In those early days, the wheel spun faster than our skills and we leaned into the learning, celebrating process over product.
PotterMouth has never just been about clay. It’s about conversations, laughter, and the quiet rhythm of creating alongside others. Each bowl, mug, or vase carries the memory of shared stories, experiments gone sideways, and the joy of trying again.
Our first clay piece sits with us still. Wobbly, imperfect, and somehow perfect, because it holds the joy of creating together. From that simple start, PotterMouth has grown into a place of craft, care, and creativity. We continue to explore how clay can hold form, belonging, beauty, and a touch of the wild world we love.
In the Summer 2025, we made 100 small heart bowls as wedding favors for Alessandra & Cole. Each one carried the mark of the hand that shaped it. That project reminded us what we love most about pottery, creating pieces that become part of people’s lives and memories.
PotterMouth is rooted in making together. We invite you to explore our pottery — each piece shaped with care and meant to be part of everyday life. If you’re looking for something more personal, we also welcome commissions. Together, we can create pieces that carry stories, mark moments, and last as long as clay does.
GoDaddy website AI makes it hard not to use AI to build the site, but we believe that on a site dedicated to our pottery, our art, the photos should be of us and our work. While we are aspiring hobbyists, we are still proud of what we have achieved. Enjoy watching our transition from AI-generated trash to photos we have taken with a phone (like this pumpkin).
